Colored Lighting Adds Excitement to Media Room

While chromatherapy is catching on in the bath design world, we believe the next wave of colored lighting will be popping up in other living spaces in the home, as seen in our recent post about an extravagantly lit European condo. One of Lux Lighting Design’s projects demonstrates the capabilities of colored lighting when paired with other materials such as glass blocks (right.)

This contemporary media room was designed in a lower-level space that had minimal natural light. The integrated fiber optic lighted glass block wall was detailed by us to provide the client with a natural light feel through a glass element. Colors of the fiber optic lighting could change at the whim of the homeowner, as well as providing white light. Shown is the blue lighting option, a favorite of our client.
