Energy Savings of LEDs
Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are much more energy-efficient than the standard incandescent bulb, using 75 percent less energy while lasting longer. LEDs exhibit key differences from incandescent and compact fluorescent lighting:
• LEDs hardly emit any heat.
• They emit different color light depending on what they’re made of.
• And they’re directional, making them great for recessed downlights and task lighting.
